Suspensions

The manufacture of suspension fertilisers is a complex process. Omex has unrivalled expertise in this area with over thirty years experience in their manufacture and distribution. Omex suspensions are concentrated liquids, a true compound which means that each droplet contains a complete analysis. This being one of the main advantages over solid fertiliser blends.

The suspensions are made to order and can be formulated in an almost infinite permutation of nutrients. Therefore crop requirements can be formulated exactly to crops needs with individual mixes available from as little as 6 tonnes.

The application of suspensions is done using a network of dedicated agricultural contractors. The spraying operation demands specialist machines, capable of handling the high volume application of heavy suspensions through flood jets. The equipment used is capable of spraying up to 200 hectares/day using 24 meter booms.

Solutions

The Omex solution fertiliser range includes some of the most concentrated products available in the UK. They are delivered for farmer application and offer many advantages over conventional, solid fertiliser application in terms of accuracy, consistency and ease of use. By using Omex solution fertilisers, farmers save time, protect the environment, comply with NVZ and Cross Compliance requirements and maximize crop yields.

All Omex solution fertilisers are supplied in bulk, eliminating packaging and the need to recycle waste and providing major handling and storage advantages over solid fertilisers. On farms using the Omex solution fertiliser service, by switching to liquid nitrogen you can dispense of the spreader.

Foliars

Omex have developed a range of foliar nutrients designed to maximise the early establishment, health and vigour of crops, leading to improvements in yield and quality. Concentrating on producing healthier plants through optimum nutrient provision can also benefit the environment by minimising the need for routine pesticide use.

Service

Service is at the heart of the Omex offer. A team of FACTS qualified technical fertiliser specialists and agronomists supply a Total Crop Nutrition service to farmer customers. This involves tailoring customised fertiliser mixes to each field according to crop needs and makes use of soil analysis and SAP analysis.

Environmental Responsibility

In addition Omex actively works with environmental organisations such as LEAF, to provide customers with up-to-date nutritional programmes which are environmentally friendly.

Organics

An increasing number of customers are now switching part of their farm to organic production. To cater for their requirements, Omex Agriculture is working closely with the Soil Association to register a comprehensive range of organic fertilisers.
