Fertiliser Additives

The performance of some fertilisers that are soil applied and designed to be taken into the plant through the roots can be improved by the use of additives. Additives help manage and control the nutrients that are applied, for example converting the fertiliser into a slow release product to avoid a flush of lush growth.

These management products work in different ways, either by inhibiting conversion to a more plant available form, or movement of nutrients within the soil profile, and can also help increase the availability of nutrients to the plant.
